International Conference on Information Technologies and Their Applications (ITTA 2024) Held at AzUAC

The Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) organized the International Conference on “Information Technologies and Their Applications” (ITTA 2024).

The conference was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Education, AzUAC, the Institute of Management Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education, the Institute of Information Technologies, Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology of Poland, Ege University of Turkey, the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of Ukraine, and the Institute of Information and ComputationalTechnologies of Kazakhstan.

The conference, which is planned to be held on April 23-24, focuses on the main scientific directions such as information technologies in construction and architecture (including smart buildings, smart villages, smart cities), artificial intelligence and its applications, problems and methods of processing big data, parallel computing, information technologies in managing complex objects and processes, intellectual management systems, computer networks, and cybersecurity issues, as well as issues related to the application of information technologies in education.

The purpose of the conference is to obtain comprehensive insights into the research conducted on the application of information technologies in various fields. It should be noted that the working language of the conference is English.

Speaking at the international conference, the rector of AzUAC, Professor Gulchohra Mammadova, emphasized the relevance of the chosen topic. Professor Mammadova stated that the current era is the era of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and as a result of the rapid development of science and technology, IT technologies and scientific and practical innovations are rapidly integrating into our lives. She noted that in recent years, information technologies have achieved many successes with their wide application in various socio-economic spheres, considering such a conference as an important event for the scientific community.

The rector also mentioned that the materials presented at the conference will be considered for publication in the prestigious scientific database Springer, while others will be published at the expense of the university. In conclusion, she wished success to the conference, which had brought together scholars from a wide geographical area and renowned scientists from around the world.

The opening remarks of the conference, moderated by the Vice-President of ANAS, the Head of the Physics Institute of the Ministry of Science and EducationAcademician Arif Hashimov, were made by the Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov, the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Education and Training Eminaga Sadigov, the Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Ministry of Science and Education,Corresponding Member of ANAS Misir Mardanov, and the professor of Uzbekistan National University Ibrokhimali Normatov.

Then, the conference continued with plenary sessions. At the plenary session, the reports of Telman Aliyev, academician, adviser to ANAS, and head of the Information Technologies Department of AzUAC, Boris Mordukhovich, professor at Wayne State University in the USA, and Adil Bagirov, a scientist at Federation University Australia, were listened to.

After the plenary session, the conference continued its work with section meetings. The sections were devoted to the topics of “Information Technologies in Intellectual Systems”, ”Information Technologies in Construction, Industry, and Engineering”, “Information Technologies in Modeling”, and “Information Technologies in Decision Making”.

It should be noted that the conference, which lasted for two days and was attended by influential scholars from 26 countries (USA, Australia, Estonia, Turkey, Ukraine, Spain, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, etc.), featured a total of 150 articles.
