AzUAC Explores Partnership Opportunities for the "Skills for the Future" Project
The representatives of the Strategic planning department and the Innovative Business Incubator Center of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) met with representatives of the "Innovations Center" of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the "Skills for the Future" project.
The head of the Strategic planning department NarminRzayeva spoke about the university efforts in developing the startup ecosystem and supporting innovative ideas of students and staff. She highlighted that AzUAC collects ideas from students and staff through the Innovative Business Incubator Center, provides necessary resources during the critical incubation stage and creates conditions for engagement with investors. Stressing the crucial role of mentors in the success, scalability and more effective establishment of startups, Narmin Rzayevapraised the activities in this direction within the "Skills for the Future" project. She noted that AzUACis closely interested in the mentorship program of the project and exploring collaboration opportunities in this regard.
During the meeting, Director of the Project Management Department Shabnam Mammadovaprovided detailed information about the project's "Specialization Program in Mentorship" and opportunities for AzUAC staff to participate in this program. Shabnam Mammadova emphasized the high expectations from the project, including the "Specialization Program in Mentorship."
Discussions during the meeting also focused on ensuring the continuity of innovation activities in the country, developing innovative ideas, enhancing students' skills in innovation and startups, especially in the upcoming stages and discussing the "Tusi(2C)" Incubation program earmarked for students. It was noted that the "Tusi(2C)" program, which will span a six-month period, includes various trainings, meetings with foreign and local experts, working on projects, field trips and presentations.
