A Scientific-technical Conference on “Emergencies Arising During Traffic Accidents and Their Management" was held at AzUAC

The Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction hosted the plenary session of the scientific-technical conference on “Emergencies Arising During Traffic Accidents and Their Management” dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev.

After a minute of silence commemorated in memory of our martyrs, who sacrificied their lives in defense of the Motherland and the Great Leader, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed. 

Greeting conference attendees, Professor Gulchohra Mammadova, Rector of AzUAC, mentioned that most of the significant events organized at the university in 2023 are dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of Great Leader’s birth: This isn’t a coincidence, of course. Because the foundation of all the successes achieved in our country was laid during the time of the Great Leader’s reign. The greatest achievement for the past 100 years is the liberation of our lands from occupation and the restoration of our territorial integrity. Without a doubt, the logical outcome of President Ilham Aliyev’s effective policy, which was initiated by the Great Leader, is what led to this accomplishment. 

In her speech, the rector highlighted the importance of conference topic and spoke about the research work conducted in AzUAC in the direction of emergency situations and their management, as well as the personnel training process in this direction. Professor Gulchohra Mammadova noted that issues related to the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents, which are one of the most common occurrences today, and the management of emergency situations that may arise during these accidents are among the priority research directions for AzUAC.

In his speech, Islam Mustafayev, Head of the Department of Emergencies and Safety of Life Activities of AzUAC and Corresponding Member of ANAS, stated that the organization of civil defense in Azerbaijan and membership of our country in the World Civil Defense Organization coincided with the leadership period of the National Leader of the Republic. Paying attention to the researches and the gained experience related to emergency situations and the safety of life, the scientist noted that the socio-economic projects implemented in our country and the general development of Azerbaijan have also developed the field of civil defense.

Associate Professor N. Nagiyev, Dean of the Transportation Technologies Faculty of the National Aviation Academy, and Professor S. Rasulov, the Head of the Industrial Safety and Labor Protection Department of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, also spoke about the large-scale projects implemented for the development of Azerbaijan under the leadership of the Great Leader and drew attention to the importance of emergency management during accidents.

After the speeches, reports were heard on the topics “Management of emergency situations arising during automobile accidents”, “Rescue works in emergency situations arising during automobile accidents”, “Management of emergency situations arising during accidents in maritime transport” and “Management of emergency situations arising during accidents during SOCAR cargo transportation” were discussed in the reports that followed the speeches.

The conference was continued with section meetings.
