AzUAC student participated in the workshops of the European Architecture Students Assembly (EASA)
A student of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) participated in the European Architecture Students Assembly’s workshops under the theme of Commons.
Along with Azerbaijani participant, more than 420 students from Latin American countries, Japan, Australia, Georgia and other states joined the two-week workshops in Sheffield, Great Britain.
Azerbaijan was represented by Karim Karimli, a student of “SABAH” groups of the Architecture Department of AzUAC and four graduates of the the same department at the international event.
In the workshop attended by our student the task was to restore the “Heeley City Farm Heritage” area, revitalize the area, attract the public to that area, and turn the area into a unique gathering place. A group of 6 students initially developed a 3D model of the area and started working on it.
During the joint work new roads, stairs, a playground for children, a garden and atelier area were created from materials available in the area. In the end, the team successfully completed the task.
It should be noted that for more than 40 years, EASA has been hosting international events on architecture in different countries of Europe every year, bringing together architecture students, as well as professionals to cultural and educational exchange platforms.
