Teachers and Students of AzUAC to Be Involved in Construction and Infrastructure Projects in the Karabakh Economic Region
On February 2nd, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the “Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in the Karabakh Economic Region” Public Legal Entity and the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) at the Aghdam Conference Center.
The memorandum was signed by the rector of AzUAC, Professor Gulchohra Mammadova, and the Executive Director of the “Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in the Karabakh Economic Region” Public Legal Entity, Ovsat Hamidov.
The memorandum reflects the recruitment of AzUAC teachers and students, as well as colleagues from the university’s Project Institute, for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects in the Karabakh Economic Region. It also covers career opportunities for AzUAC graduates, organization of joint conferences and symposiums, exchange of experience, and other matters.
Rector Gulchohra Mammadova emphasized the importance of cooperation for both institutions and, in general, for our country. She noted that construction and infrastructure projects carried out in the liberated territories further enhance confidence in the “Great Return”. The rector emphasized that despite some countries adopting a dual approach to the issue, with the political will and high managerial skills of President Ilham Aliyev our liberated territories are being rapidly restored.
The Executive Director of the “Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in the Karabakh Economic Region” Public Legal Entity, Ovsat Hamidov, spoke about the ongoing and planned projects, highlighting the significance of cooperation with AzUAC. He noted that collaboration with the main higher education institution in the country in the field of architecture and construction will contribute to the faster implementation of works in the liberated territories.
Later, a discussion was organized with the participation of representatives from both institutions, exchanging ideas on the work to be done in the directions outlined in the memorandum.
