Informative Seminar on "Managing Household Waste" Held at AzUAC


At the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC), an informative seminar on the topic of "Management of Solid Household Waste" was held at the "Clean City" Center within the Faculty of Water Engineering and Engineering Communication Systems, specifically for second-year students specializing in Ecology.

 

The seminar was attended by Sayyaf Rustamli, the director of the Environmental Protection sector of the "Clean City" OJSC, and Jahangir Mammadzada, an engineer from the Department of Environmental Protection and Conservation.

 

Vasif Askarov, a representative from the Strategic Planning Department, welcomed the guests and stated that as a result of the collaboration between AzUACand the "Clean City" OJSC, regular informative seminars are organized for students by company representatives. He emphasized that the mission of these seminars is to foster joint activity in environmental protection and solving ecological problems, instilling 'green thinking' in students, and cultivating responsible citizenship, teaching, and application skills.

 

Then, Sayyaf Rustamli began the seminar on the topic of "Management of Solid Household Waste." The guest provided extensive information about the work done in the direction of managing solid household waste, including principles of management. Additionally, comprehensive information was given about reducing waste generation volumes, recycling, reuse, energy efficiency, and more efficient use of resources.Information was also provided to students about the company's projects such as "Clean City" and "Balakhani Industrial Park," highlighting the special role of Balakhani Industrial Park in managing solid household waste.

 

It is worth noting that the seminars held at AzUAC's "Clean City" Center are attended by students specializing in relevant fields to ensure they have extensive knowledge about the area they will work in the future.
