Foreign students conduct scientific research on the monastery complex in Gakh under the guidance of a professor of the AzUAC
Foreign students currently studying at Milan Polytechnic University, within the framework of the Erasmus + KA 107 partnership between AzUAC and Milan Polytechnic University, are conducting scientific research on the Yeddi Kilsa (Seven Churches) Monastery Complex located in the Gakh region of Azerbaijan. These students, one from Russia and two from Turkey, are being supervised by professors from both institutions. Professor Nora Lombardini from Milan Polytechnic University serves as the scientific advisor for the foreign students, while Professor SabinaHajıyeva, the head of the Department of Architecture Constructions and Monument Restoration of AzUAC, serves as their advisor from the Azerbaijani side. At the beginning of the academic year, the students were provided with photos, drawings, and necessary information about the monument, and several meetings were held throughout the year.
Today, another online meeting was held with the participation of both parties, during which the students' questions encountered during their research were answered, and proposals for the conservation of the monument were discussed. It is worth noting that once the final version of the project is ready, it will be presented first at Milan Polytechnic University and then at AzUAC to the broader public.
