Memorandum of Agreement and Student Exchange Protocol Signed Between AzUAC and Yildiz Technical University
Today, a Memorandum of Understanding and a Student Exchange Protocol were signed between the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) and Yildiz Technical University in Turkey.
The delegation led by Professor Tamer Yılmaz, the Rector of Yildiz Technical University, visited AzUACand was welcomed by the rector of AzUAC, Professor Gulchohra Mammadova. The rector expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in various fields, including education, and expressed gratitude for Turkey's political and moral support during the 44-days Patriotic War. She then provided detailed information about the university's activities and goals, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in expanding the university's capabilities and development.
Professor Tamer Yilmaz, the Rector of Yildiz Technical University, provided information about his university, including its 110-years history and the educational programs it offers. He highlighted the university's cooperation with 661 institutions worldwide, including 6 universities in Azerbaijan, and emphasized the university's rich experience in creating effective partnerships with industry. Professor Yilmaz expressed readiness to support AzUAC in the development of academic and administrative staff skills, facilitating doctoral education for young employees, benefiting from distance education opportunities, and other areas.
After detailed discussions, a Memorandum of Understanding and a Student Exchange Protocol were signed between the two universities. The protocol aims to create potential collaboration in mutually beneficial areas, including student and teacher exchanges, joint research, implementation of short-term academic programs, and other issues.
Following the meeting, the members of the delegation visited AzUAC's faculties and laboratories to familiarize themselves with the university's facilities.
