AzUAC and Eskishehir Osmangazi University (EOGU) of Turkey Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Mahmut Sami Ishlek, the International Relations Coordinator of Eskishehir Osmangazi University, visited Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) and met with Professor Nargiz Abdullayeva, the Vice-Rector for International Relations. During the meeting, Akif Qasimov, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of AzUAC, also participated and provided detailed information about the university.
The guest conveyed greetings from the Rector of EOGU, Prof. Dr. Kemal Shenojak, and expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the two universities. After mutual presentations of the universities, discussions were held on joint participation in European Union grant projects, student-teacher and researcher exchanges, and the development of dual-degree programs in relevant fields.
As part of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding and an Erasmus+ KA1 protocol supporting student exchanges in architecture and economics were signed between the universities.
It is worth noting that AzUAC has had a long-standing collaboration with EOGU. In 2013, a Mevlana Exchange Protocol was signed between the universities, and one student from AzUAC studied at EOGU. Joint grant projects have also been implemented between the two universities. For the academic year 2021-2022, it is planned to send students to EOGU for 1 or 2 semesters of self-funded education.
