Master’s Thesis of Student from Milan Polytechnic University Studying at AzUAC Within Exchange Programs Framework Awarded Highest Grade in His Homeland.
The expansion of international relations of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) is of great importance for the overall development of the university. In recent years, active participation in international exchange programs such as Erasmus, Tempus, and Movlana, as well as the expansion of international relations within multilateral and bilateral frameworks, strengthens the university’s internationalization process. Within the aforementioned programs, student-faculty exchanges, education-technological and internship experiences, joint conferences, seminars, and collaborative research projects are successfully implemented with European universities. Among the main priorities in organizing international relations, student-faculty exchanges carry significant importance.
For the past 3 years, the relations between AzUAC and Milan Polytechnic University of Italy, which began years ago, have entered a new stage. The bilateral relations established between our university and Milan Polytechnic University continue successfully within the framework of the Erasmus+ exchange program funded by the European Union. In the fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic year, under the Erasmus+ KA1 exchange program, Kevin Prenna and Danyal Zarepourmoghaddam, the second-year master’s students of the Faculty of Architecture of Milan Polytechnic University and citizens of Italy, successfully completed their studies at AzUAC and returned to their homeland. During their studies at AzUAC, both Italian master’s students’ course works, prepared as part of their project groups, were awarded prizes by the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan. After returning to Milan, one of the master students, Kevin Prenna developed his master’s thesis under the guidance of his scientific supervisor, Professor Nora Lambardini of the Milan Polytechnic University, conducted extensive research based on the topic he worked on during his time in the project groups at AzUAC, under the supervision of his academic advisor, Professor Nora Lambardini of Milan Polytechnic University. It is gratifying to note that his master’s thesis, based on the research conducted at AzUAC as part of the project groups, was highly evaluated by the Commission members and awarded the highest score.
