Preliminary Measures for AzUAC Diploma Recognition in Jordan Underway
Sami Asem Abdullah Ghosheh, the newly appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Azerbaijan, met today with Gulchohra Mammadova, the rector of Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC). The meeting was attended by Akif Gasimov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Nargiz Abdullayeva, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Farhad Aliyev, Director of the International Relations Office, and Polad Sadikov, Dean of Foreign Students' Education.
During the cordial meeting, steps were discussed to facilitate Jordanian students' education at AzUAC and the recognition of their diplomas in their home country. Ambassador Sami Asem Abdullah Ghosheh informed the rector that discussions on this matter were held at the Ministry of Education of Jordan during his first visit to the university in November last year. Ambassador Ghosheh stated that his country approaches the recognition of diplomas positively and that work has already begun in this direction within the ministry. He presented a letter from the Jordanian Minister of Education to the rector and announced that a delegation from Jordan would soon visit the university for acquaintance purposes. The ambassador emphasized the importance of cooperation between AzUAC and Jordanian universities and expressed interest in further developing relations with relevant higher education institutions.
Additionally, discussions were held during the meeting regarding student-teacher exchanges, scholarship and internship programs, training and projects, and cooperation on issuing "double diplomas".
