The ITACA project, together with representatives of the European Union, aims to establish a training center and study the damage caused by oil production to the environment, to work between higher education institutions and companies, and to train specialists in this field. The Training Center will design and develop one-year postgraduate courses through collaboration between companies and academic institutions. This new type of education, which acts as a bridge between universities and industries, can help solve the problems of improving the quality of education and the environmental situation in the country. As a result of the project, based on the experience of European universities, innovative teaching methodologies, new advanced technologies in the field of environmental rehabilitation and waste management will be applied, which will allow modernizing the local higher education system. The coordinator of the project, which will cover 2019-2023, is La Sapienza University of Italy, and the regional coordinator is AzUAC. The project will work together with the Department of Foreign Relations and the Department of Environmental Engineering of the University. The aim of the project is to create new opportunities for students to enter the labor market, contribute to increasing the labor and competitiveness of technicians working in local companies. land and water treatment, improvement of higher education, employment, entrepreneurship in the field of waste management.
