Mevlana Exchange Program


Mevlana Exchange Program (MMP) - aims to exchange students and teachers between higher education institutions in Turkey and higher education institutions abroad. The Mevlana Exchange Program implemented by the Higher Education Council of Turkey - YÖK was launched in 2011 (https://www.yok.gov.tr/ogrenci/yok-bursuve-deskleri).

Students and teachers from partner universities can benefit from this program. Students wishing to participate in the exchange program can benefit from the program by teaching for at least one or two semesters, and teachers by teaching at higher education institutions in Turkey for at least 2 weeks and at most 3 months (if a bilateral Mevlana Exchange Protocol is signed). Teaching at universities is conducted in Turkish or English.

Terms of participation in the Mevlana Exchange Program:
Students:
The student must be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd year bachelor / I year master's student or doctoral student of AzUAC;
The total academic average score of undergraduate students must be at least 2.5 out of 4;
the total academic average score of masters and doctoral students must be at least 3 out of 4;

Turkish (TYS-Turkish Proficiency Test) or English language certificate (minimum B1) corresponding to the language of instruction of the university where you will study. For students who do not have a certificate in English, the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of the University of Azerbaijan conducts a language level exam.

Students must submit the original (in 3 copies) and electronic documents to the coordinator of the institution.
Students who have the opportunity to join the exchange are given a monthly stipend of 1000 TL by the Higher Education Council (HEC) during their studies. 70% of the scholarship will be paid to students on a monthly basis, and the rest will be paid based on the success of the courses they have taken, taking into account the ratio of the scores of successful classes to the total number of lessons received.
Requirements simply pay the tuition fees they owe to their home higher education institutions, and do not pay any tuition fees to the higher education institution they will attend under the exchange program.
Those wishing to benefit from the program can apply to the Mevlana Exchange Program Coordination Center of those higher education institutions.
Lessons taken by a student studying abroad under the Mevlana Exchange Program The student does not suffer a loss of years when he / she returns home, as the Education Protocol clearly states the conformity of the lessons.

Teachers:

- Academic staff of AzUAC teaching special subjects can participate in the program.
- During the exchange period, the academic activity of teachers should not be less than 6 hours in total.
- Academic activities such as seminars, conferences and discussions are also taken into account when classes do not exceed 6 hours per week.
