Construction Project Management Laboratory Opened at AzUAC

The opening of the Construction Project Management Laboratory took place today at Construction Faculty of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC). The opening ceremony of the laboratory was attended by the rector of AzUAC, professor Gulchohra Mammadova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Akif Gasimov, Deputy director of the Association of Project Management of AzerbaijanFarid Kazimov, heads of university departments and deans. After cutting the symbolic red ribbon signifying the opening, participants familiarized themselves with the laboratory.

The head of the Construction Technology, Organization and Management department Sahib Farzaliyev and the initiator of the laboratory's establishment noted that the creation of the laboratory would enable the operational management of construction production. He emphasized that the use of virtual simulation programs in the construction process allows both research and learning, as well as the efficient management of limited construction resources and reserves, making it a highly relevant issue for construction students.

The head of the department of Amal Group MMC and also a lecturer at AzUAC Ahmad Ahmadov provided detailed information about activities of the laboratory. Ahmadov highlighted that the main purpose of establishing the laboratory is to investigate the complex and systematic process of construction production, simplify their interrelationships, prevent time wastage and so on by obtaining modern computer models and applying them to education. He spoke specifically about the importance of the PRIMAVERA program in the field of construction planning, organization and management, emphasizing its worldwide relevance.

The importance of the laboratory was further emphasized by the rector of AzUAC, who stated that through the introduction of modern technologies in the teaching of construction production management, students will gain practical skills alongside the theoretical knowledge, thus nurturing young construction professionals at an international level.
