International "Winter School" Project Organizes Interesting Master Classes

The Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) continues its successful implementation of the "Winter School" international project via online platform due to the current situation with the pandemic. The project named "Architecture and the City after the Pandemic" was attended by 100 participants mostly from the universities of Russian Federation and other countries. 

Within the framework of the project, master classes are organized by the professorial team of the Faculty of Architecture and virtual tours are conducted to locations such as the Heydar Aliyev Center, "Yarat" Contemporary Art Center, Baku White City, Maiden Tower, Shirvanshahs Palace and other places. The program of the project is met with the interest by international students, who actively participate in master classes and virtual tours. On the first day, the Vice-rector for International Relations of AzUAC Nargiz Abdullayeva, the head of the International Relations department Farhad Aliyev and the project coordinator Isa Muradov held a virtual meeting with international students, introducing the university, our country and our capital city in a comprehensive manner.

In the following days the development director of Baku White City project Fuad Verdiyev, the head of Architecture, Construction and Restoration of Monuments department professor Sabina Hajiyeva met with international students, giving presentations. On February 11th the Vice-rector for Strategic development Ulkar Sattarova conducted a master class on the topic of Problems-Oriented Education for international students. Master classes were also conducted by head of the Architecture Planning and Urbanization department and President of the Architects Union Elbay Gasimzade, lecturer of Designdepartment Farida Gasimova and an architect Inara Azimzade.

 

The "Winter School" project will conclude on February 17th.
